Editorial policy
Northern Garden Review aims to make garden topics clear, specific and worth a reader's time. We take care with facts, explain the limits of general advice and welcome corrections when something needs another look.
Accuracy and clarity
We check factual statements against suitable reference material before publication and use plain wording where a subject can be explained plainly. We avoid presenting a personal preference as a universal rule, and we make uncertainty visible when details depend on a plant, place or growing conditions.
Independence and labelling
Editorial decisions are kept separate from partnership arrangements. Any sponsored or partner material is labelled clearly so readers can tell it apart from independent editorial coverage. A partnership does not guarantee favourable coverage or editorial approval.
Corrections
If you believe an article contains an error, please use the Contact page and identify the article and the point in question. We review correction requests and update material when warranted, making a clear note of significant changes so readers can understand what was corrected.
Illustrations
Some illustrations may be generated with AI. When that is the case, we label the image accordingly; illustrations are not presented as documentary photographs of a real garden.
A garden is a place to keep noticing
We look at how gardens take shape, change with the seasons and fit the people who tend them, one considered choice at a time.
