Write for us
We welcome considered pitches about gardens, plants, design, seasonal change and the stories behind garden places and practices. Send proposals through the Contact page rather than submitting a finished article without an invitation.
What makes a good pitch
Tell us the central idea, why it would interest a curious garden reader and what makes your angle distinct. A strong proposal is focused, grounded in reliable information and useful beyond a passing trend. It may explain a design choice, compare options, explore garden history or offer a thoughtful way to notice a seasonal change.
A clear scope
Please explain the intended reader and the main points you would cover. Keep claims proportionate, distinguish personal observation from general guidance and flag any subject that depends on specialist knowledge or local conditions. We are not looking for disguised product promotion.
How to send it
Use the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. Include a short description of your idea and any relevant background you want us to consider. A proposal is not a promise of publication; we will review whether it fits the publication's subject and approach.
A garden is a place to keep noticing
We look at how gardens take shape, change with the seasons and fit the people who tend them, one considered choice at a time.
